As previously reported, Hearts of Oak and Legon Cities FC are in advanced talks to sign teenage midfielder Albert Yeboah before the start of the new season.

The 20-year-old has not looked back since moving to the capital two seasons ago, having joined the Royals from freshly promoted Ebony FC in the first level.

He made 22 appearances in the recently concluded season, totaling 49, after making 27 in his first season in the top division, demonstrating his consistency in contributing four goals.

Hearts of Oak have apparently contacted the player, and talks between the two parties are still ongoing, even though the player has appeared on the desire lists of other clubs.

According to the most recent information, the "Phobians" have completed all the necessary procedures, and by the end of the week, the player should have his medical and sign his contract.

The "Phobians" seek to finalize his signing prior to the President Cup next season since they believe he has a great deal of potential to bolster their team.

Here are some further events that occurred in the sports world.

Can Mamelodi Sundowns win their first Club World Cup match against Ulsan?

Mamelodi

On June 18 (Central African Time), South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns will play K League 1 winners Ulsan HD in Orlando to begin their Club World Cup campaign.

Sundowns will be participating in the event for the second time. They lost both of their games in 2016 before the implementation of this year's extended format, falling to South Korea's Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors 4-1 and Japan's Kashima Antlers 2-0.

The same Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors are, incidentally, six points ahead of Ulsan, the current champions, in the competition for the K League 1 championship this season. With two more games played than the league leaders, Kim Pan-gon's club entered the Club World Cup in third place after the sides' most recent encounter in Ulsan ended in a 3-1 loss for the champions.

Even though Sundowns recently won the Betway Premiership, their home league, by a margin of 12 points, they were disappointed to lose to Pyramids FC of Egypt 3-2 on aggregate in the CAF Champions League final.

Pyramids won a 1-1 draw at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria thanks to a late equalizer. They defeated Sundowns 2-1 at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo with a polished display; Miguel Cardoso's team was anything but.

This season, Sundowns still have an opportunity to create history. A spot in the knockout stages, which are only available to the top two in each group, can be theirs with their first Club World Cup victory. Brazil's Fluminense and Bundesliga powerhouse Borussia Dortmund will be their other Group F opponents.

After a lengthy injury layoff, Lebo Mothiba finally made his debut in the second leg of the CAF Champions League final, playing 12 minutes off the bench.

Coach Cardoso may go to Themba Zwane to provide some flair and penetration after he was not used as a substitute for either leg of Sundowns' loss to Pyramids FC. However, since September, before tearing his achilles against Congo in Brazzaville, Zwane has not started a game for Sundowns.

Mamelodi

The most recognizable player for Ulsan is Lee Chung-yong, who Premier League supporters may recognize from his time at Crystal Palace and Bolton Wanderers. Although the winger is the team's most successful player, Brazilian striker Erick Farias is most likely to score the goals.

Since Miguel Cardoso became head coach of Mamelodi Sundowns, Themba Zwane has never started a game for the team.

On their one appearance at the Club World Cup, Sundowns had a record of two losses and no victories. Ulsan has made two appearances, but they have lost both games and have no wins.

Mamelodi Sundowns has won the last eight South African Premiership titles, while Ulsan HD has won the last three K League 1 championships.

Brazilians Lucas Ribeiro Costa (the Premiership Golden Boot winner with 16 goals) and Erick Farias (now third in the K League 1 top scorers' race with 8 goals) have led both teams in league scoring.
