Justice Blay calls Kotoko supporters to increase stadium attendance, saying it is "depressing."

Justice Blay, the deputy captain of Asante Kotoko, has urged supporters to pack the stands and demonstrate their steadfast support as the Ghana Premier League's second round gets underway.

Disappointing attendance numbers over the first half of the season have impacted the players' morale. He underlined that the stadium's spectators motivate the players to perform best.

Ahead of Kotoko's match against Karela United in Kumasi, Blay held a pre-game press conference and compared the current situation to his early years at the club.

It is gloomy. I recall being astounded by the energy in the tunnel when I first joined the club. However, now things are different," he bemoaned.

"I am begging the fans to come to the stadium and support us," Blay said in a sincere plea to the crowd. When they watch the spectators applauding, certain athletes perform better.

The midfielder, who is looking ahead to Sunday's match against Karela United, a squad that has a reputation for winning in Kumasi, emphasized the significance of the game.

"We are committed to winning. Karela always puts up a good fight here, so I have already instructed my teammates to step up. We will go into the game determined," Blay promised.

Kotoko depends on the fervent support of its devoted supporters to foster a lively environment and propel them to victory as they look to recapture the Premier League crown.
