Emmanuel Boahen, a defender for Nations FC, has spoken out about his unsuccessful summer transfer window attempt to join Ghanaian powerhouse Asante Kotoko.

After a fantastic season with Nations FC, the enterprising right-back was on the verge of joining the Porcupine Warriors, but the deal fell through.

When Nations FC finished seventh in their inaugural season, Boahen's outstanding performance in the Ghanaian top-flight attracted the attention of the Porcupine Warriors.

A few reasons prevented me from joining Kotoko. Following his statement to Kessben FM, Ghanasoccernet.com reported, "I had to return to Nations FC since I had a contract with them."

Boahen, meantime, has reaffirmed that winning the Ghana Premier League at the end of the season is their goal.

"At the end of the season, we want to win the Ghana Premier League. To increase our prospects, we are committed to grinding outcomes in our games," he stated.

After 12 games this season, the Abrankese-based team is only one point behind log leaders Bibiani Goldstars in second place on the domestic top-flight standings.
