India signed up a young keeper-batter as an injury replacement ahead of the Australia tour.

The 22-year-old keeper-batter Chetry, who made her India debut in July and has already made four T20I outings, has been called up for her first ODI match for the Australian trip.

Due to a wrist injury, she will take Yastika Bhatia's place during the forthcoming three-match ODI series against Australia. The BCCI Medical Team ruled Bhatia out for the forthcoming series, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said in a statement that the team is actively monitoring her recuperation.

The White Ferns were India's most recent ODI opponent, and they defeated them 2-1 at home.

Australia toured India and won the three-match series handily last year, marking the last time India and Australia Women faced battle in an ODI series.
