Kotoko announces their comeback to Baba Yara Sports Stadium

Asante Kotoko has declared that it will return to Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the rest of the season.

Following Baba Yara's shut down for renovations, the Porcupine Warriors had previously called Len Clay Sports Stadium home.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) revoked Baba Yara's license, preventing the Black Stars from holding international games there, and the National Sports Authority temporarily closed the venue.

However, now that the repairs are complete, Kotoko will once again play its home games in the famous stadium.

On Thursday, November 28, the club sent a message on X (previously Twitter) expressing their enthusiasm for the return.

"We are happy to announce that we will be playing our remaining home games of the season at Baba Yara Stadium. Following an official message verifying the completion of maintenance work at our historic home venue, Kotoko made the announcement.

This revelation also indicates that when the Ghana Premier League returns following the elections on December 7, the first Super Clash of the season between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak will take place at Baba Yara Sports Stadium
