Legendary Asante Kotoko player George Kennedy is arguing for the team to give coach Prosper Narteh Ogum more time and assistance.
Following four straight losses in the Ghana Premier League, Ogum was under tremendous pressure. However, the Porcupine Warriors were able to get back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over the Aduana Stars on the road.
In the local premier division, the Ghanaian powerhouses have recorded five victories, three ties, and four losses. And after 12 games, the Porcupine Warriors are in seventh place with 18 points.
In an interview with Kessben FM, Ghanasoccernet.com argued for coach Ogum's time and support.
"Coach Ogum requires some time." He still has a contract, and he needs our help to succeed with the team. After releasing go of more than 18 players at the start of the season, we made some new hires this year.
Therefore, it will take time for the team and coach to resume their winning ways. Let us support the team during this challenging moment, and I have no doubt that we will succeed once more."
When the Ghana Premier League resumes next week, Asante Kotoko will play their bitter rivals Hearts of Oak on matchday 13 at Baba Yara Stadium.
