Joseph Tagoe, also known as "Bobby Short," a former midfielder for Hearts of Oak, has talked candidly about a difficult time in his life during which he fought a strange leg injury that kept him bedridden for about six months.

On the Gajio Podcast, Tagoe revealed that his illness, which prevented him from moving to Mexico, started as a little foot ache that grew worse over time. He spent all of his funds on medical care, but it did not help, and he ended up physically disabled.

"I did not take the cut I felt on my leg seriously. I had all the paperwork to relocate to Mexico, including my visa. Immediately after receiving an injection, I felt as though I had swallowed a bone. He recalled, "I saw three marks on my leg the following morning, and that was that."

After learning about his predicament from his brother Baffour Gyan, Ghanaian legend Asamoah Gyan stepped in to aid, the former Ghana Premier League fan favorite explained.

Tagoe disclosed, "Asamoah Gyan then sent for me, and I was escorted to a man who healed me," indicating that the ailment was not medical. "Yes, the hospital was not involved."

In local football circles, Bobby Short is renowned for his outstanding dribbling and inventiveness when playing for Hearts of Oak. His disclosure contributes to the ongoing discussion of spiritual influences in football and the particular difficulties that players encounter off the field.
