Aboubakar Ouattara praises Benjamin Asare for extending Hearts of Oak's contract

Benjamin Asare

Aboubakar Ouattara, the head coach of Hearts of Oak, has commended goalie Benjamin Asare for extending his contract with the team.

Asare will remain with the team until 2027 after agreeing to a two-year contract.

His impressive play in his first season with Phobian Club earned him a call-up to the Black Stars for the World Cup qualifying matches against Madagascar and Chad during the March international break.

In both games, Asare maintained a clean sheet and the post.

"I am thrilled that Benjamin Asare will be with us for two more seasons," Ouattara remarked. "We need a disciplined goalie to stabilize the goalkeeping department." He is necessary to us.

Asare has maintained 13 clean sheets in 20 games in the Ghana Premier League, giving up just eight goals, which is a compelling argument for his contract extension.

In the Matchday 27 match between Hearts of Oak and Vision FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex, which kicks off at 15:00 GMT, he is anticipated to be in goal.
